THE RATIONALE
So many women need travel sisters. It’s troubling that there are so few practical solutions that overcome various barriers women face regarding travel. In talking with women, it’s clear those barriers manifest in diverse ways:
Picture
Meet Mary. Mary has been happily married for decades and her partner has traveled widely with their job. She has now retired and is ready to see the world but her spouse is quite happy to remain in the comfort of their home.
Picture
Meet Roxanne.  Her spouse likes to travel, and she does, too. They just like to travel very differently. She likes a tight itinerary and local guides; he likes improvisation and discovery. She hates conflict so he sets the pace on their trips, and she feels distressed and frustrated as time runs out at each destination.
Picture
Meet Amy.  She actually joined a travel club and (because she can get along with most anyone) booked a trip with a new friend as a roommate. On the trip, she realized their internal clocks were opposite, so she spent much of her vacation with a pillow over her face or tiptoeing around in the dark.

Meet Cari.  She traveled recently with her girlfriends from high school. It quickly became evident that the overworked moms wanted a distinctly different experience than her single friends seeking adventure.
Picture
Meet Stephanie. She is a busy mom without a lot of time to herself. She craves a couple days  - maybe a quick shopping trip to New York, a staycation hotel and spa on Mother’s Day weekend - to recharge, reflect, and connect with like-minded women.

Meet Heather. She is a recent college grad who works remotely. She would love to find some cheap flights on short notice, spend her days exploring solo, and meet up with friends for drinks and dinner each night to compare notes on the day’s adventure. Most of her friends are in different life stages, and so it’s time to find some compatible travel sisters for these last minute getaways.
And there are many more. The Travel Sisters concept seeks to solve these practical problems by sorting women into circles of compatible travel sisters--women who share similar interests, travel budget, lifestyle habits, and travel preferences.  Then, we meet regularly (in person and on Zoom) and consider destinations and itineraries aligned with those factors and create a path forward to achieving your travel dreams!
